What Makes a Siem Reap Photo Tour a Unique Creative Experience?
Embark on an immersive 3 to 5 days private photography expedition in Siem Reap, designed to maximize your photographic opportunities. Our journey covers a diverse 60 km radius around the city.
The area around Siem Reap has much to offer for photographers with the iconic and lesser-known Angkor temples, the big Tonle Sap lake, the lush cambodian countryside, rice paddies, and colorful monasteries.
Complementing these locations are the warm Cambodian people in local villages and local food markets. This expedition provides opportunities to refine and expand your photography techniques in a variety of environments.
For an extended experience, please have a look at our 12-day Cambodia photo tour.
What Sets a Professional Photographer-Led Tour Apart in Siem Reap?
π π Diverse and Rich Content: Ancient Temples and Culture
We designed this multi-day photo tour with in mind to have balanced blend of ancient temples and street photography: lush countryside, villages, local monasteries. This experience will give you insights into Cambodia's history and cultural heritage, while also providing numerous chances to capture memorable photographs.
Our journey features the legendary iconic temples of Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, and Bayon, complemented by a curated selection of photogenic hidden gems within the Angkor Archaeological Park. We'll also visit the secluded Beng Mealea temple, offering a glimpse into Cambodia's lesser-known temples.
π π°οΈ Flexibility in Content and Schedule
We are happy to customize your program to include any special requests, such as visiting the Banteay Srei temple for example. Please note that Cambodia's tropical climate, with its high temperatures and humidity, can be physically demanding during our photography tours. Our typical temple explorations involve walking several kilometers each day through the temple grounds.
We recommend taking a midday break, which serves two purposes: it allows you to rest and enjoy your resort's amenities while also avoiding the harsh midday sunlight that can be challenging for photography. However, if you prefer to maximize your time and fit more photography shooting time into your 3-4 day stay, we can certainly adjust the schedule to reduce these breaks according to your preferences.
βοΈ Best Light and Minimal Crowd
We carefully designed each itinerary, scheduling each temple visit during optimal lighting conditions while avoiding crowded periods. This planning ensures you will capture the temples in their best light, with minimal interference β ideal conditions for great photography.
π₯ π· One to One Photography Guidance
Throughout this photo tour, I'll guide you in discovering the most compelling angles at each location and share creative composition techniques to make your images stand out. We can also cover essential photography fundamentals on-site, including mastering the exposure triangle (aperture, shutter speed, and ISO) and working with different shooting modes such as aperture priority and full manual mode.
For challenging lighting conditions, we'll explore advanced techniques based on your camera equipment, such as using neutral density filters, exposure bracketing, or your camera's HDR mode when available.
